A: Whatever feels like your second skin. Lingerie, an oversized shirt, a favorite dress, or nothing at all— we’ll help you choose pieces that make you feel powerful, comfortable, and insanely gorgeous.

A: Only for the first five minutes. We’ll guide your posing, talk you through every step, and keep the vibe fun and relaxed until being in front of the camera feels like second nature.

A: Most Second Skin sessions run a couple of hours, depending on your package and outfit changes. We take our time so you never feel rushed—just fully in the moment.

A: Totally normal. That’s why Second Skin Boudoir exists—to help you see what’s already there. We pose you, light you, and cheer you on so when you see the final images, you recognize the person you’ve always been.

A: Your session will be photographed by Matthew G., the founder and photographer behind Second Skin Boudoir.

Matthew’s approach is calm, guided, respectful, and privacy-first. Every session is built around clear communication, flattering light, natural posing, and your comfort level from start to finish.

Before the shoot, you’ll have a consultation so you know what to expect, what to wear, and how the session will flow. During the shoot, Matthew will guide you through posing step by step — you do not need any modeling experience.

You are welcome to bring a friend or partner as long as they will be positive and encouraging during the shoot. Nothing is shared publicly without your written permission.

The goal is simple: to create images that feel like the way someone who adores you sees you—through a flattering, romantic, and deeply respectful lens.

A: We have some favorite studio, hotel, and airbnb spots we generally shoot from in Santa Rosa Beach and Destin primarily. We can also arrange an in home or in hotel visit if you would prefer that.

A: We believe that all women should have the opportunity to feel good in their body and strive to make our services accessible to as many women as possible. We offer different levels of packages and also offer pre and post payment plans to pay over time to make it more affordable for all. The shoot will range depending upon location, extras such as hair and makeup, and package chosen. Connect with us for more details.

A: This doesn’t happen! It never has! You will actually have a harder time finding images you don’t like! However, we are so confident in our work and the experience you'll get, that if you don't like your images or do not have a amazing experience, we will happily give you a refund.

A: You might be surprised to hear that many our clients are moms, over the age of 30, and definitely NOT a size 2, or even a 10! Posing & lighting for everyBODY is our specialty.

A: Absolutely not! I only share images that my clients sign a release for allowing me to share. There are different levels of sharing too. You can choose to share only anonymous images. You can choose to share publicly. Or you can keep your images completely private.

A: 100%. All of our clients are REAL WOMEN, just like you! We take care of the posing right down to your fingertips. By the end of your session, you might just FEEL like a supermodel!

A: Not at this time.

A: Many of my clients feel this way. Our suggestion is to go into a lingerie store to get support from knowledgeable staff and try on a variety of pieces. Once you get the hang of it and figure out what you like/ what fits best, then you can try some online shopping. And remember, you don’t have to wear lingerie for every set! Bring in a pair of your favorite jeans, an oversized sweater, a white tank, body jewelry, etc!

A: Your boudoir session is a closed event, meaning that only the makeup artist will be there (if your session includes hair & makeup) to get you ready and then your photographer for the entirety of your session.

A: We happily offer retouching on all our photos, which includes overall skin smoothing, evening out uneven skin tone, and removing a stray hairs. We also fix what I call “minor wardrobe malfunctions”, which means we even out areas where the lingerie is cutting into the skin, etc. We do not, however, provide any body sculpting or more extensive forms of retouching. You simply don’t need it! Our motto: if it’s a permanent part of your body, it stays, if it’s a temporary imperfection, it goes.

A: Boudoir photography prices vary wildly across the U.S., but here’s the honest average: For a professional, reputable boudoir photographer, you can expect to invest between $2,000–$8,000+ total for your session and the products you choose. Luxury studios (like ours) generally fall within this range because of the experience, expertise, and high-end artwork included.

Our studio uses a Session Fee + Products model — and here’s why it works so well: • Your session is one flat fee ($300 or $549) and includes your entire experience: pro hair & makeup (included with $549 flat fee only), wardrobe styling, your session, and your reveal session.

Products are purchased separately, starting at $1,000 — so you’re never locked into a package before you even know what you’ll love. • You only buy the images that make you say “holy sh*t… that’s me?!”

And with interest-free Pre-Session Payment Plans, you can save up for your products month by month before your shoot, making the investment easier and stress-free.

Some photographers offer all-inclusive “packages” that bundle the session and a set number of images together for one price. In short: Package-based studios tell you what you’re getting. Our model lets you decide what you love — and what you take home.
